Behold him, shivering in the summer sun Finding himself lone upon unknown land When the rabbit ran, he did run And now this mousy hand must plan His feet patter to the scatter of grass Here he finds a tree starting a glade The copse grows thicker, and he sees a flash of light Filled with fear, he flashes teeth in summer shade “HARKETH!”…HE BARKETH! A startled deer fritters through the hedge And the small dog breathes away his worry He trots unearthed to the forest’s edge His mind runs as fast as his feet, hurry. He launches into a golden field of whistling wheat Trampling through the straw lined valleys When he suddenly crashes into a man without feet He careens and spins, eyes wide and himself he rallies. “HARKETH!”…HE BARKETH! A man without motion, he sways in the wind. A cautious approach, he appears quite humane The man is made of straw and very dim Suddenly picks up smell, familiar and faint He follows his nose, knowing all he knows He is suddenly flying, airborne and trying Before he falls, he spots the chimney smoke The place he belongs to be lying Tumbling down the winding walls He splashes into the running creek He finds his footing, not a moment stalled His will is hardened, his fear is weak He charges through the water cold And begins to climb the muddy slide His mind is steeled, his heart is gold His soul is brilliant, His home he holds. He reaches the peak and over it he peeks The smoke from the stack beside where he sleeps He barrels through the file remaining Sprinting, panting, fear abstaining. Under the fence he gallops in pride Steam pours forth from his fiery eyes Rounding the corner to an open door Therein he assumes carnage and gore “HARKETH!”... HE BARKETH! The girl he loves fliest from the house Hey eyes full of worry, tears afloat her face. Cries turn to cries in shortening space He runs into her familiar embrace. He has returned to where he belongs His spot on the floor near the fireplace But it won't be much too long That he must protect his humble domain “HARKETH!”... HE BARKETH!

I don't need nobody I can’t see nobody I don't want nobody but you Only you You try and tell me You never do compell me To, to come and see you You never do Tomorrow I will see you then And it will start again I'll love, nobody but you Only you Can’t I see that? I am blind You only leave me behind You only make a fool out of me Out of me Out of me!

Every time I find myself talking to someone new In their eyes, in their thighs, there I am, where are you Every time I'm by myself I keep on looking out for you Every time I'm by myself I just don't know what else to do Oh there ain't nothing else to do Like a loose dog in my brain it keeps me up all night and day Somebody asks me how I’m doin’, ‘I'm all right, I’m okay Truth is my hearts bleeding from a love that made my days Everyday we're all the part I feel like I'm so far away So far away So far away Oh baby alright, oh baby gone today oh baby bye bye, Oh baby stop and say I put the memories to bed but they get up and sing and dance in a line in my head til my ears start to ring Try to fill the part but I can’t seem to get past the start Can’t close the door to the room with my broken heart My broken heart

about

Double Monk New Brunswick, New Jersey

Good afternoon,
You already know who we are. Born in a New Brunswick Monastery. Long nights in front of square cone speakers and vinyl scratches have rendered us deaf.
Before tinnitus overtook all of our senses, we listened to enough rock, pop, prog and virtual Bible studies to bring you the music you already love but haven’t yet heard. Double Monk. Now Live! on all streaming services.
